Manchester School of Jewellery offers one day and short courses for enthusiastic beginners to skilled makers looking to broaden their knowledge in a variety of jewellery techniques and allied skills.

We still have a few places available for our new Ring Workshop.

The course covers a multitude of skills; shaping, hammering, texturing and silver soldering. We will also teach students how to saw, file, size rings and finish silver work. Practice will begin using Copper, with demonstrations given for the different skills, followed by time to apply these skills. Once the skills are refined, each person attending will make a sterling silver ring from start to finish, and the ring will be theirs to take away.

Price £75

These cover basic jewellery making skills, currently held in the Manchester Craft and Design Centre in the creative Northern Quarter. Participants will each be taught a variety of different jewellery skills (hammering, texturing, doming, shaping, soldering, finishing) and will have completed a piece of wearable silver jewellery (earrings, pendant or pin) by the end of the session.

Price £35 – Morning or Afternoon session available.
